As Dres from Black Sheep would say...
you can get with this...
-OR-
...you can get with that
Anyway, I'm just a little concerned that Durbin agreed to Sessions bullcrap bill.
I can only assume that Sessions is some sort of be-yotch and Durbin suffers from a major case of bitchassness (sorry for the profanity, but I really believe that this is the most appropriate word to give to an individual that rolled over on something so OBVIOUSLY wrong!).
Sessions, you're a beyotch because you refuse to bring a bill to light that will completely eliminate the disparity. Why is there one in the first place and why aren't you working to get rid of it? Well, since you're a Republican, I guess I should be happy that you're willing to throw Black folk a bone. Now you can go to sleep knowing that you have helped some Black people and you might even, one day, have one as a friend (that you will actually invite to your house and will know the last name off...Michael Steele and Clarence Thomas do not count)
Durbin, you're suffering from bitchassness because, as a Democrat, I expect you to rally against all things Republican (thought and action). At the very least, I expect Dems to call out Repubs, make them look like a punk/racist/elitist and kinda force them into doing what you want them to do. Yet, you rolled over on this one. I kinda wish we had a parliamentary-ish system like in China...they just start fighting if they don't like what others have to say. Anyway, Durbin has proved that he is lacking a pair and that the Democratic party really doesn't care that much for Black people.*
I would have like to have gone into a much more detailed diatribe; however, hubby is away for the week; the kids are driving me up the wall and I still have to prepare for a cross-country move.
Peace and love black folks (and B. and J. ...you know who you are). If you really must slang a drug, make sure it's cocaine and not crack!!!
Crack is Whack!

*side note: please remember that Affirmative Action was coined and brought into fruition by the Democratic party. Yes, minorities and women sometimes need that extra boost just to get the same opportunities that white males seem to be inherently born with; however, who in the world wants to feel like they only got a position because of their gender, skin color and/or ethnic background? Now, instead of just working like everyone else, you gotta work extra hard to prove to your boss and co-workers that you aren't a joke and was only hired to fill a quota and keep the company from being monetarily penalized for non-compliance. I can't necessarily call it reverse racism because many of the new-hires aren't being hired because the employer thinks that the gender/skin of the new-hire makes them superior to their white-male counterparts. However, I will say that it's a terribly paternalistic policy that really does not uplift or further women and minorities
